Staunton, Virginia DUI, DWI & DUID
The City of Staunton police department prides itself on enforcing Virginia’s laws against driving under the influence, driving while intoxicated and driving while under the influence of drugs. Staunton police, like all Virginia police officers, have been trained on the NHTSA Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFSTs). The standardized tests sometime referred to as the Roadside Gymnastics or Roadside Coordinate Tests consist of the main tests. The first is the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN). The second is the Walk and Turn (WAT) often incorrectly called the 9 step walk and turn. The third test is the One Leg Stand. While all police officers trained in Virginia are required to learn and pass a competency test on the SFSTs, most fail to properly administer, correctly instruct or accurately grade these tests. Most officers claim that the subject “failed” the test despite being taught these are not pass/ fail tests. Bob understands these tests as he successfully completed the NHTSA Instructor Course for the SFSTs. If your officer does not understand the tests, Bob will know it. Waynesboro, Virginia DUI, DWI & DUID
The Waynesboro Police Department works hard to make DUI, DWI and DUID arrests. The Federal Government has established many incentives for the various localities to focus a great deal of resources in this area. Waynesboro, like the rest of Virginia, uses Intoximeters’ EC/IR II evidential breath tester device. The EC/IR II was the cheapest breath test gadget available when Virginia replaced its predecessor the Intoxilyzer 5000 in 2008. The EC/IR II is a fuel cell that uses its infrared component to try and identify contamination from alcohol in the stomach. The EC/IR II has a very poor track record for being able to distinguish mouth alcohol. Bob has taken the DOT Operator’s course for the EC/IR II. He owns an EC/IR. Page County, Virginia DUI, DWI & DUID
Page County, which contains Luray, is a wonderfully beautiful place. It is also heavily policed by the Virginia State Police and the Page County Sheriff’s Department. Law Enforcement tries to stop as many motorists as possible in order to smell for alcohol or marijuana. Once an officer has smelled either substance or believes he or she has done so, you are probably going to jail. In Virginia, Anheuser-Busch, a Beer Company, gives the top Two DUI Officers from each police department a FREE Long Weekend at Virginia Beach. The top DUI Officers also get overtime pay and promotions. In the push to increase enforcement the Government has introduced incentives to make DUI arrests even if such arrest is not justified. So much for responsible policing. If you have been charged with DUI, DWI or DUID contact Bob for a FREE CASE EVALUATION. You can see Bob’s CLIENT REVIEWS HERE.
