Hot Cop of Castro Charged with hit and run: San Francisco Police Officer Christopher Kohrs has been charged with two felony hit and run counts from a December, 2015 accident.  In that accident two pedestrians were run down and a Dodge Charger owned by Kohrs was left at the scene.  The two pedestrians were crossing Broadway near Montgomery Street around 2:20 a.m. when they were struck by Kohrs’ Dodge Charger. Neighborhood video shows a male figure running away from the scene at a fast pace.  Fortunately neither victim suffered potential life ending injuries but both were hospitalized.  Kohrs turned himself in the next day.  Kohrs has not been suspended since he was off duty at the time for a knee injury incurred in the line of duty.  Under San Francisco Police Policy an officer on medical leave cannot be suspended.  If and when Kohrs is cleared to return to active duty he will be suspended.  #HotCopOfCastroChargedWithHitAndRun Hot Cop of Castro Charged with hit and run: Kohrs is a celebrity in the area having been branded as the “Hot Cop of Castro”.  Kohrs was released on a $100,000.00 bail.  The District Attorney George Gascon told KNTV that the prosecution’s case was weak due to the lack of drug and alcohol testing on Kohrs after the pedestrians were run down.  Gascon added that “When a law enforcement officer commits a crime, the level of concern becomes much greater. . .”Kohrs’ claim to fame prior to these felony charges began with a photograph of him patrolling the San Fran Castro District.  His model looks inspired the label “Hot Cop of Castro.”  It...
